The Hālawa Xeriscape Garden (HXG) will be closed to the general public on Wednesday, November 11 and 25, 2026.  The garden will be open to the public during normal hours from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on all other Wednesdays in the month of November.

The HXG is a three-acre demonstration garden that displays a series of unthirsty, water-conserving plants in a visually attractive garden. The BWS opened the garden to the public in September 1989 as a way to educate Oʻahu residents on ways to save water outdoors in lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas.
